Second Opinion

Not Sure About Your Treatment Plan? Get a No-Obligation Second Opinion

If something about your dental care doesn't feel right — ongoing pain after a procedure, a filling or crown that failed sooner than it should have, or a treatment plan that feels bigger than it needs to be — you deserve a clear, honest answer. Dr. April Linder and the team at Bethesda Row Dental offer second opinion visits, with no pressure and no obligation to become a patient.

You'll leave with a straight answer about what's actually going on with your teeth — and what your real options are.

New to the practice? We're also happy to give you a complimentary tour of our office before your visit — so you can see our space, meet the team, and feel completely comfortable before any appointment begins.

Call (301) 841-6292 to schedule your second opinion or office tour.

Common Reasons Patients Seek a Second Opinion

  • Pain, swelling, or sensitivity that hasn't gone away after a filling, crown, or root canal
  • A filling, crown, or restoration that failed or came loose earlier than expected
  • A treatment plan that feels more extensive — or more expensive — than expected
  • An unclear diagnosis, or a recommendation you don't fully understand
  • Wanting a comfortable, unhurried second look before agreeing to major work
  • Simply wanting to see the office and meet the team before deciding where to go

What Happens at Your Visit

  1. A Real Conversation First

We start by listening. Tell us what's been going on, what treatment you've already had or been told you need, and what's worrying you.

  2. A Thorough, Independent Exam

Dr. Linder will examine the area in question and review any X-rays or records you're able to bring, so her assessment reflects the full picture.

  3. A Clear, Honest Answer

You'll hear exactly what she sees — whether that confirms the original recommendation, offers a different path, or simply gives you peace of mind.

  4. A Look Around, If You'd Like

Prefer to see the office first? We're glad to walk you through our space and introduce you to the team — no appointment necessary.

  5. No Pressure, No Obligation

There's no expectation that you'll switch dentists or start treatment with us. Some patients simply want confirmation before moving forward elsewhere, and that's perfectly fine.

Meet the Dentist Reviewing Your Case

Dr. April Linder, DDS

Dr. Linder is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she went on to complete a fellowship in Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, and Hospital General Dentistry. She maintains active membership in the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists.

Dr. Linder built Bethesda Row Dental around what she calls Connected Dentistry — focusing on one patient at a time, listening carefully to individual concerns, and guiding each person toward decisions they actually understand, rather than rushing to the next chair. That same philosophy is exactly what a second opinion visit is built on.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I just come see the office without an exam?

+

Absolutely. If you'd rather get a feel for the space and meet the team before committing to anything, just let us know you'd like a complimentary tour when you call.

Do I need to bring anything?

+

If you have recent X-rays, treatment notes, or a written treatment plan from another office, bring them along. If not, we can still take a look and, if needed, take new images in-office.

Will you talk to my current dentist?

+

Only if you'd like us to. This visit is about giving you information — what you do with it, including whether to share it with your current dentist, is entirely up to you.

What if I'm in pain right now?

+

Let our team know when you call. We prioritize patients who are dealing with active pain or swelling and will get you in as quickly as we can.
